Mary Jo Curtis, age 85 of Estill Springs, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Life Care Center in Tullahoma. A native of Franklin County, she was born on September 8, 1937, in Winchester to the late Pete and Ethel (Jordon) Smith. Before her retirement, she had been employed at CKR. Mary Jo loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping, going to yard sales, walking, flower gardening, and watching NASCAR (Cheering for Tony Stewart). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Curtis; and siblings, Barbara Jean Wiseman, Jimmy Wayne Smith, Melinda Smith, and John Smith. Mary Jo is survived by her loving daughter, Debbie Curtis (Vermon) Teters; grandchildren, Misty Collins (Bobby Elliott) of Tullahoma, and Jeff (Michelle) Teters of Estill Springs; great-grandchildren, Zachery Collins, Reece Collins, Kati Collins, Peyton Teters, Eli Teters, and Maggie Teters; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 21, 2023, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Scott officiating. Interment will be at Cowan Montgomery Cemetery.
