Ann E. McGowan, age 87 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Magnolia Manor in Midway, Georgia. A native of Franklin County, she was born on February 10, 1936, to the late Claud and Corene (Holiday) Farris. Before her retirement, she had been employed as a cook at Druthers Restaurant. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and going to yard sales. Her family will remember her strong-will and love for Jesus Christ. Ann was a member of Decherd Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles McGowan; brothers, Joe Farris, Donnie Farris, and Howard Farris; sisters, Mary Ruth Stewart, Neil Hart, and Peggy Garrison; and son, Ricky Riley. Ann is survived by her loving children, Cheryl Hernandez, and Michael Mansfield; grandchildren, Chris Wiseman, Lori Ledbetter, Angie Wiseman, and Shanna Wiseman; great-grandchildren, James Wiseman, Andrew Wiseman, Taylor Ledbetter, Cobi Lara, Wayne Lott, Isaiah Lott, and Anah Lott; siblings, Wayne Farris, Mack Farris, Louise Garrison, Pat Ingle, Marie Cole, and Barbara Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2-4pm on Sunday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Don Baker officiating.
