December 21, 1952  -  May 16, 2023

Jean Marie Morris, age 70 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Southern Tennessee Medical Center. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Winchester on December 21, 1952, to the late Norman and Mary Etta (Guess) Morris. Jean Marie was one of the very first clients at New Life Center. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and her church family at Cowan Nazarene Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Tatum, Bessie Morris, and Annie Ellis; and brothers-in-law, Herschel Tatum, Charles Morris, David Throneberry, Kenneth Ellis, JD Posey, Ralph Johnson, and Jackie Johnson. Jean Marie is survived by her sisters, Jannie Throneberry of Winchester, Kathryn Posey of Cowan, Roxy Johnson of Cowan, and Brenda Johnson of Cowan; and several loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with John Butler and Rev. Bill Welch officiating. Interment will follow at Cowan Montgomery Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Cowan Nazarene Church.
