Charles T. Barrett

June 16, 1956 - May 8, 2023

Charles Thomas “Tommy” Barrett, age 66 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023, at Tri-Star Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. He was born on July 16, 1956, in Aken, South Carolina. Before his retirement, he had been employed in the construction industry as a painter. Tommy was an ordained minister and had been active in several Christian youth programs. He enjoyed being in the great outdoors, especially fishing and working on cars, and was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan. Tommy was a member of United Gospel Fellowship in Tullahoma. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Eugene Barrett; mother, Sue Ellen Jaynes; siblings, Richard Barrett and Jack Barrett; father-in-law, Johnny Medley; and uncle, Richard Vandiver. Tommy is survived by his brother, Marvin Barrett; sister, Sherry Barrett; wife, Patricia “Patti” Barrett; daughter, Tracy Lynn Barrett, mother-in-law, Mary Medley; and several aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be from 1-2pm on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Pelham Methodist Church. Graveside Services will follow at 2:00 pm in Warren Cemetery with Bro. Joe Shuler officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Gospel Fellowship for the J.C. Children Center/School, 1505 Normandy Road, Normandy, TN 37360.
